Backpacking 101 Clinic

Saturday-Sunday, April 6-7, South Campus Rail Trail

Let’s get out and get active with this Backpacking 101 Clinic on the South Campus Rail Trail! Come join our Ole Miss Outdoors instructors on a beginner level hike as they teach all the basics of backpacking – how to pack your backpack, weight distribution and leave no trace on the trails! All gear is provided. Student registration is $20, faculty and staff is $35. Register here.

Earth Day Service Trip

Monday, April 22, 4-6 p.m., South Campus Rail Trail

Happy Earth Day! What better way to celebrate than to give back to your community with an outdoors clean up! Ole Miss Outdoors will provide trash bags and gloves as we go through a hike on the trails and leave the environment better than we found it. Donations are suggested. All proceeds will be donated to Leave No Trace – an organization within outdoor recreation that’s mission is to provide education, skills and research to help people care for the outdoors. Sunset Yoga

Join Campus Recreation on the South Campus Recreation Center Outdoor Turf on Monday, April 22nd for our FREE class of the month, Earth Day Sunset Yoga! Relax and enjoy the yoga flow while embracing what nature has to offer. We will have yoga mats available for those who register for this class. Raising awareness about the risks of tobacco use and how we have a tobacco free campus. WMC will partner with Student Health Services to market for their nicotine patches, gum, and other harm reduction items.
